Full edit finally done – I’ve put a little slideshow of the full year’s activities on vimeo, including all the build up, pre event, and event weekend itself (with hurricane Bertha on the Sunday!!!)

A photo trip to the Ardnamurchan peninsula on the run up to the longest day 2013. Set up camp on the coast, and waited for the light to get interesting. Both sunset and sunrise were truly stunning. The view out towards the Small Isles of Eigg, Rhum, Muck and Canna was the essence of tranquility.

A few iPhone snaps to set the scene at the beginning, before the “real” shots appear (so stick with it!) Amazing how the light changes over the space of a few hours. I photographed until midnight, then grabbed a couple of hours sleep, before getting back up at 3am to do it all again.

The music is by Hiatus (with kind permission), it seemed to suit the ambiance perfectly!

I was delighted to attend the launch of Prudential RideLondon a few weeks ago. It was great to meet one of the true stars of London 2012, Laura Trott… that smile is just as infectious in real life as it was on the TV coverage from the velodrome.

Laura is the ambassador for Prudential RideLondon a super choice to raise the profile of the event, and cycling as a whole. It was a real pleasure to photograph Laura, along with Seb Coe and Boris Johnson. A selection of images appear below.
